On April 26, 2020 I called an out of state insurance company to cancel a our policy.

I was told that there was a grace period when I asked if there would be any fees. The person I was talking to on the phone was gone several minutes, and came back and told me there would be no charges. Some kind of form was sent as our mortgage company said we did not have any insurance and they would buy a policy to cover it.

They must have sent multiple emails a day threatening.

So I scanned the form I was sent and loaded it in the doc portal over ten times which took quite a bit of time uploading. Finally, they sent a final email saying the requirement had been met. LOL

I thought I had completed everything.
Months went by as in May, June, July, August, September, October, and on October 13, we received a letter from a law firm / collection agency saying we owed $128.00.

I sent it to our attorney and property manager. They suggested I call.

I thought it was a fraud thing. But I finally called. There was so much talking and laughing I was sure it was not real. Then I called the insurance agency back.

I was told the second time on the phone for over a considerable amount of time, that the girl who had told me there was no additional cost was mistaken.

After talking to a couple more people, I was told that we did owe the amount because of four days. What about the grace period of 10 days?
Long story short, last week I was told that I should call the collection agency and talk to them.

But they would check into it. It would take several days. Once the thing was prolonged because the rep I was speaking with was out of the office.
I had a call yesterday saying they had reduced the payment to $38.00 and would call back. They did not.

So I tried to call the rep. twice and just got voice mails, just got voice mails saying they would call back in one business day or more.

SOOOOO I called the main office, waited, and finally someone answered again on a recorded line. For the fourth or fifth time she went through the notes and then asked me to tell her about it again.

I was pretty firm and straight to the point for me, Actually, I was pretty upset.

She was really nice and checked into it. I told her I did not want to do any more calls, I was being penalized for some one’s mistake (and that triggered something in my heart), and I just wanted to pay the money and be done.

Then there was more checking, long wait, and finally asked to send me a receipt that the payment had been paid in full.

She sent me a copy of what I had paid but said it would take a couple of days to get the paid in full copy.

I was still pretty upset, but felt the nudge of the Lord. I asked her how her relationship was with Jesus, and she said basically, she did not have one, but felt peace because she got baptized.

So I asked her if she wanted to make it definite to know for sure that she had a relationship with Jesus. She said ‘Yes” and I prayed a blessing on she and her family, and then asked her if she wanted to receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus.

She said ‘Yes” and I asked her to pray with her heart and not her head. I went through a prayer of forgiveness, and the rest as the Lord led me.

Now her name is written in the Lamb’s book of Life and she is on her way to Heaven.

She thanked me and said this was just the perfect time because she was getting married soon, and there was a lot of stress in her life. She said she really felt different.

I gave her some further instructions about getting a Bible, spiral notebook, and asking the Lord to give her a verse each day and write it down. She would see a direction as she did and prayed with her about the wedding and being enveloped in the love of the Lord.

I also told her I prayed a couple of weeks ago as to why this was going on so long. Once again God had a better plan than I could imagine.  I was exhausted from the battle but in tears about the blessing of a new sister in Christ, who had been searching for a long  time.

I told her that today was the 8th of December, a time of new beginnings  and a wonderful adventure with Jesus. The one thing I could share is the Lord has ALWAYS been faithful to me…ALWAYS!

When I woke up this morning, I was discouraged with all the business stuff I had to do. I thought about the verse about His mercies are new every morning. I thought about that. Decided to rejoice and be more grateful with my focus and trust in the Lord. He gave me the scripture out of proverbs that” the path of the Lord is strength to the upright.”

In our weakness His strength is made perfect. What an AWESOME God we serve. Can’t be cast down, cuz I am putting my trust in the Lord! Yahoooo!

PS – Think of details once again the Lord went through by inconvenience to have me talk to her today. Makes the headache certainly worth it.
